Weddings at Ashford Acres Inn are not confined to a single day. They unfold over time—through welcome gatherings, shared meals, unhurried conversations, and moments that linger long after the weekend ends. What we create here is not an event, but an experience: a full wedding weekend designed for connection, presence, and celebration.
Set across 64 acres of rolling Kentucky bluegrass, Ashford Acres Inn is a five-star, destination wedding property in the heart of Central Kentucky. Our landscape offers a variety of thoughtfully curated ceremony and reception settings—indoors and out—including our signature event barn, each space shaped by the land itself and the rhythms of the season. We host weddings of all styles and scales, welcoming celebrations up to 300 guests with the same level of intention and care.

Weddings are our craft. Over the years, we have refined a seamless, in-house approach that allows couples to be fully present. From thoughtfully prepared meals—plated or buffet, passed hors d’oeuvres, late-night comforts—to curated bars featuring specialty cocktails, mocktails, wine, and bourbon tastings, every detail is considered. Our offerings extend to ceremony and reception furnishings, antique accents, custom place settings, and design elements that feel collected rather than constructed.
For anything beyond our grounds, we draw from long-standing relationships with the region’s most trusted wedding professionals. These partnerships allow us to extend the same standard of excellence across every facet of the weekend.

In addition to event details, there are five luxurious bedroom suites in the historic bed and breakfast for out-of-town guests and bridal party preparations. Offering rehearsal dinners, complementary breakfast for overnight guests, a complementary overnight stay for the couple on their honeymoon night and a full staff to take care of everyone’s needs, couples and their guests don’t have to lift a finger to set up, clean up or prepare for the big day.
ASHFORD'S PLANNING & COORDINATION TEAM
At Ashford Acres Inn, weddings are not managed—they are stewarded. Planning and coordination are not secondary services here; they are central to the experience and inseparable from our reputation as a wedding destination.
Our on-site wedding planning and coordination team is made up of three or more full-time professionals whose sole focus is weddings and events. This is their craft and their daily work. Present on property and deeply familiar with the land, the flow of a full wedding weekend, and the details that matter most, our team brings a level of continuity and care that allows weddings at Ashford to feel effortless and refined.
Every wedding at Ashford Acres Inn is supported by our professional coordination team. This ensures a seamless experience across the property, from ceremony through farewell. While couples are welcome to bring an outside wedding planner or coordinator to collaborate on property, Ashford Acres Inn coordination is always required. Our in-house planning services, however, are optional and offered through thoughtfully structured planning packages for those seeking deeper guidance and creative partnership.
Design is an integral part of our approach. Our team is known for creating weddings that feel rooted in Kentucky’s sense of place—organic, elevated, and entirely personal. Whether working within a clearly defined vision or helping shape one from the ground up, we guide couples through informed, intentional decisions that balance creativity with budget and logistics.
By offering coordination, planning, rentals, culinary services, and bar operations in-house, we provide a streamlined, one-stop experience that allows couples to be fully present. The weddings we host are a reflection of the people who plan them—and the trust placed in Ashford Acres Inn is upheld by a team dedicated to doing this work exceptionally well.
WEDDING PACKAGES
Entire event space is exclusive to you and your wedding party during hours of event. Starting time may be influenced if there is a wedding the day before. Sundays in our busiest wedding months will have weddings the day before, requiring Sunday weddings to begin after 2pm.

Ceremony & Reception
All catering and alcohol is provided by Ashford Acres Inn
- Use of the entire facility from 7am to 11pm on wedding day for Saturday weddings
- On-site lodging for up to 14 adults for two nights
- Gourmet breakfast for all overnight guests Saturday & Sunday
- Complimentary stay for couple in Garden Suite for the night of their wedding

Ceremony & Reception

- Use of Event Barn from 3pm to 11pm
- Use of the Main House 2pm to 11pm for Sunday & weekday weddings
- Ceremonies can begin at 3pm or later
- On-site lodging for up to 14 adults for one night
- Half off the Garden Suite for the couple the night of their wedding

Ceremony Locations
The Front Porch
Our most popular wedding ceremony location on the property is the front porch of the inn. With two-story tall white columns, classic black shutters and a romantic Juliet balcony, the front porch provides a beautiful and quintessential southern setting for one of the most important moments of your life.
White Wall - Main House
The historic features on a wall of white, aged brick allow your gorgeous flower arrangements to pop and keep the main attraction (you!) at the center of attention. Allowing a moment of modern simplicity to mix with classic charm, this location sets the perfect frame for your guests to view your important day.
Clusters of Trees - Various
If you’re looking for a breathtaking location for a garden ceremony, we have the perfect spot with several clusters of mature trees as a backdrop. Drape the trees in your favorite colors, place your flower hung arbor in front of the cluster or embrace nature and allow the trees to create their own drama. This location is sure to wow all of your guests.
Front of the Event Barn
Have your guests sit beneath the shade of Kentucky native trees with the magnificent Event Barn as your ceremony backdrop. The transition to and from this location is seamless from the parking lot, to the interior of the Event Barn to other locations on the lawn and provides convenience and beauty in one package.
Event Barn Veranda
Providing eye appealing vertical lines and a stunning country view, the Event Barn Veranda accentuates a modern and classic combination for the ideal wedding ceremony location. Say ‘I do’ with comforting Kentucky rolling hills serving as the perfect scenery in the background.
Inside the Main House
The best setting for an intimate wedding ceremony within the historic walls of the Ashford Acres Inn main house, provides an opportunity for a personal moment with your closest family and friends. Exchange vows in front of the fireplace and move to the dining room, veranda or garden for a cozy and exclusive celebratory dinner reception.
Front of the Garden Suite
The quaint cottage feeling of the Garden Suite lends itself nicely to the easy flow of a garden ceremony and reception with the ideal location close to the main house and the Event Barn. Tucked gently into a grove of towering trees on a bed of lush green grass, the Garden Suite provides a charming backdrop for one of your most important life memories.
Inside the Event Barn
With over 3,800 square feet of open space inside the newly built Event Barn, there is plenty of room to host your ceremony alone, or in conjunction with your reception. Open the towering back doors to expose an ethereal blue sky and green rolling hills for a natural Kentucky theme.
The Gazebo
Our new gazebo features charming columns and a charcoal peak that offers a beautiful blank slate to accentuate all floral and decor choices. Located on the lawn in front of a backdrop of mature trees, the gazebo is an idyllic space to take center stage as a couple. All eyes will be on you as your guests watch on with a picturesque view as you say "I do".
Reception Locations
Inside the Event Barn
Serving as our most popular location for wedding receptions, the interior of the Event Barn with two story white walls and black accents, provides a large elegant space for entertaining in style. With plenty of room for large-party dining, dancing and mingling, the Event Barn can accommodate weddings large and small.
Lawn Spaces
With two beautiful acres surrounding Ashford Acres Inn, there are numerous ideal garden reception locations on the property. Dine with your guests beneath the shade of tall native trees, share your first dance beneath market lights and add fun lawn games for guest enjoyment.
Verandas
Enjoy the shade of the house veranda or the barn veranda for an intimate reception setting. With shade and ceiling fans moving the air, these spaces provide the perfect ambiance to celebrate your new marriage with family and friends.
Inside the Main House
After your outdoor wedding ceremony, invite guests indoors for an intimate celebration within the historic walls of the inn. With beautiful decor and cozy rooms you’ll be able to enjoy every moment with your closest family and friends.
